I first heard this song at my church last year and I was totally moved. Rob, I hope to catch you online sometime. I'm in Nashville and would like to help this song reach a larger audience. The message is so timely in the highly politically charged environment we are living in.

Ditto that Sarah... I just heard it for the first time tonight through an email saying it was not being played because it was "politacally incorrect". Don't know the reason it is not getting play time, but I think it would do well about now!!! Please re-release the song!!!!!!!

Yeah, I always keep a critical eye of these e-mails. Frankly, while it's a nice song, there really were more popular songs that the radio played. Had nothin' to do with the whole political incorrectness thing. www.snopes.com/politics/business/diamondrio.asp

I agree that it's a great song, would love to see it re-released, but I disagree with it. I love God, I trust in him and live my life for him, I think we should be free to believe and proclaim our beliefs in any way (such as this song) but don't believe it should be "in schools" besides in private personal prayer perhaps. No organized religious practices should be present in any public school. Nobody should be made to participate in a religious practice that they do not support or follow. That being said, I really do love the song, I feel that way in my heart but can't ignore the freedoms we are allowed as citizens of the United States of America.

It seems strange to me that we can have all kinds of things on TV and Radio that teach our children about this world. Things like how to make a bomb, porn, drinking, smoking pot and using other harher drugs, but just let somone mention GOD and people go crazy. All I can say is my GOD sure does disturb a lot of people that don't believe He exists or can do the things the Bible says He can do. And think about it, The Bible has been around longer than you and I. I love the song and pray that we hear it more and more. I think we should put the words "IN GOD WE TRUST", if you do, in very visible places like on our cars, since they have taken it off of our license plates. If we believe in God and this country we better "stand up for it" TODAY!!

Well I have to be honest. If one believes in God and truly does love Him, and His precepts, then why would you not want it taught in the public schools. That is the way it was for many years before somebody decided they didn't like it. Children learned the truth, back when. Now they are allowed to make their own truths. They learned of morals. Now they create their own morals. And we encourage them to put themselves first, that they are number one, instead of teaching them to help others and to love others, we have made them selfish and self serving. This is what has happened since this country has taken God out of the public school system. Kids cannot even make an informed decision on how to live life because they are not being taught all the facts.
Well as for me and my house,"In God we still trust" Thankyou Diamond Rio

I cannot understand for the life of me, why this Stunningly great song was never released. This was evidently written the same time the other great ones similar ones came out, but this still stands out too me, far beyond the other great hits. I listen too it a lot, and just cannot understand why this was never on the charts, and should have number 1 for a long time. It should have won awards, several of them. I read what snopes said about it, and I think that is a bunch of Bull. The Lyrics of this song are so true, and have meaning that is in all our hearts, and; So What, if it pisses off a group of people who don't like the US. They shouldn't be here then. Get the hell out of My Country. I served 24 years in the Military, and fought in a war, I earned the right to say that. I saw Diamond Rio in concert a few years ago, twice, once at the Pepsi Cola roadhouse, in PA, and also at the outdoor, place just a couple of miles from there, (cant renumber the name). Anyway, a great song, and I think it should be recorded, I would be one who would have a copy, then try to get it autographed. David Atchison, US-Navy Retired, Vietnam Veteran, (Brown Water Navy)

Just saw the outrageous comments regarding this awesome patriotic song and how it has gone to congress to somehow be banned! That's insane! There is filth on the radio, garbage...that is permitted with no issue...and this wonderful song is released and been criticized by our president? We have got to push and fight to save all that God gave us!! I say RE RELEASE IT!!! We need to fight to get rid of the filth as well. It is certainly offensive to me!!

I heard this song this morning on 8/28/2015, it moved me in a way I've never been moved like that by a song sung by a country group. According to snopes.com this song was never released as a single because of other good songs like Carries Underwood's "Jesus take the Wheel" and others. We do need to get ahold of someone to get it, as Sarah said, "re-released".
